
Scott Kruse, DVM
Dr. Kruse, a founding father of Village Veterinary Practice, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Kruse then went on to attend the University of Illinois where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Kruse’s professional areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, oncology and health management for senior patients.
When Dr. Kruse is not providing care to his clients and patients, he can be found spending time with his family, adding to his music collection or coaching his children’s sports teams. The Kruse family also enjoys spending time with their Cavalier Poodle Mix (a.k.a Cavipoo) – Norman.

John Green, DVM & Chief of Staff
Dr. Green is also a proud graduate of the University of Illinois. Dr. Green first received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences in 2002 followed by his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. In 2006, he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and joined the VVP veterinary team. Dr. Green holds special interests in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, radiology and senior patient care.
During Dr. Green’s time away from VVP, he enjoys spending time with his family, recreational road bicycling and motorcycle touring. The Green family also includes Scooch, a very lively Miniature Schnauzer.

Holly Hayna, DVM
After years of practicing veterinary medicine in various states throughout the country, Dr. Hayna decided to return to her Hinsdale roots and joined the VVP team in 2008. Dr. Hayna attended the University of Illinois, receiving her Bachelor’s degree then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. While well versed in all areas of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hayna has special interests in internal medicine, animal behavior and ophthalmology.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hayna can be found spending time with her family, reading and enjoying Illini football! The Hayna family shares their home with a loving Golden Retriever named Telluride (a.k.a. Telly) and a Pekingese mix named Newt.

Karen Heger, DVM
Dr. Heger is a second generation veterinarian, having grown up next to her father’s practice in St. Charles. She received her B.A. in Biology and Spanish from Cornell College and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 from the University of Illinois. She is an experienced small animal practitioner with a particular interest in behavior and feline medicine.
For recreation, she enjoys cooking, gardening and yoga. She particularly enjoys being harassed by her two feline scamps, Gilbert and Sullivan.

Molly King, DVM
Dr. King completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Augustana College and then earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2015. She loves working with people and believes that effective communication between herself and the pet owner is a critical component for the best patient care and a trusting client relationship.
She has a tabby-tortie cat named Maisy and a feisty little grey tabby cat named Griffin. They are often found cuddling, watching TV at home, or curling up with a good book. Dr. King also enjoys crafting in her spare time.
