Scott Kruse, DVM
Dr. Kruse, co-owner of Village Veterinary Practice, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University.
Dr. Kruse then went on to attend the University of Illinois where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Kruse’s
professional areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, oncology and health management for senior patients.
When Dr. Kruse
is not providing care to his clients and patients, he can be found spending time with his family, adding to his music collection or
coaching his children’s sports teams. The Kruse family also enjoys spending time with their Cavalier Poodle Mix (a.k.a Cavipoo) –
Norman.
Holly Hayna, DVM
After years of practicing veterinary medicine in various states throughout the country, Dr. Hayna decided to
return to her Hinsdale roots and joined the VVP team in 2008. Dr. Hayna attended the University of Illinois, receiving her Bachelor’s
degree then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. While well versed in all areas of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hayna
has special interests in internal medicine, animal behavior and ophthalmology.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hayna can
be found spending time with her family, reading and enjoying Illini football! The Hayna family shares their home with a
loving Golden Retriever named Telluride (a.k.a. Telly).
Joe Gibbs, DVM
Dr. Gibbs, the most recent associate veterinarian to join the VVP staff, received his undergraduate degree in biology from Kansas University then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary Medical School at
Kansas State University 2002. Dr. Gibbs holds professional interest in internal medicine, particularly endocrinology and feline
diabetes, and ophthalmology.
When Dr. Gibbs is away from work, he enjoys spending time with family, taking his dogs to
the park, camping and KU basketball.
Meet the Veterinarians of VVP...
Jon Jorgensen, DVM
Co-owner of Village Veterinary Practice, Dr. Jorgensen received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from theUniversity of Illinois then continued his education in Champaign-Urbana and attended the College of Veterinary Medicine. It was there
that Dr. Jorgensen received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Jorgensen is passionate about all of his patients, but
has a particular interest in senior patient care. Additional interests and efforts are directed in helping VVP put our greenest foot
forward.
During Dr. Jorgensen’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on home improvement projects.
He also enjoys basketball, helping to coach his kids’ teams and entomology (collecting bugs). Dr. Jorgensen’s family currently has
a Yellow Lab – Winston, Toy Poodle – Rosie, and Sox the cat.
John Green, DVM
Dr. Green is also a proud graduate of the University of Illinois. Dr. Green first received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Animal Sciences in 2002 followed by his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. In 2006, he received
his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and joined the VVP veterinary team. Dr. Green holds special interests in dentistry,
soft tissue surgery, radiology and senior patient care.
During Dr. Green’s time away from VVP, he enjoys spending time with his
family, recreational road bicycling and motorcycle touring. Dr. Green and his family do not currently have any pets of their own;
however, they live vicariously through his parent’s four dogs which include Wellington and Uli – both Great Danes, Otto – a miniature
Schnauzer, and Harry Potter – a Jack Russell.
